Opened in 1964, this was one of Rhodes's first decent restaurants, and it's still going strong despite its somewhat gimmicky come-on. Although pricey, it's worth it for the views alone: You have a prime view of historic Mandraki Harbor and the two famous deer at its entrance, and yachts and boats bob in front of you while you dine on truffle risotto or cucumber soup with salmon or sole valevska (filet of sole with shrimp, crab, and mushrooms in a béchamel sauce). Despite the menu's heavy Greek influence, you will find some colorful fusion items with Polynesian and international influences. Of course, you can always just order a glass of excellent local wine at the bar and watch the sunset, too.
