Don't leave Phuket without getting out on the famous and oft-photographed Phang Nga Bay. You've probably seen the bay without knowing it, since it was featured in two 007 flicks, The Man With the Golden Gun and Tomorrow Never Dies. The staggering, towering rock islands dot the otherworldly bay, and of course the only way to cruise it is aboard a red-sailed Chinese junk. Although touristy, it's a nice way to get away from the crowds, with sea breezes wafting through your hair as you enjoy a Thai buffet lunch on board, complete with full bar. The mandatory stop is "James Bond Island" (Khow-Ping-Kan), where you can alight on a blaring white beach ringed by rock walls just like 007 did.
