Whitetail Hiking Trail follows a portion of steep terrain along the eastern ridge of CH C. This trail is less traveled than its adjoining trail, Indian Moccasin Trail. Whitetail is narrower especially as it follow the ridgeline. There are several scenic climbs through mature oak, maple, and aspen hardwoods making it a worthwhile journey during the fall foliage season. Approximately midway on the loop trail a spur bisects the path affording a shorter hike.
