Pinkerton Creek Trail is a good beginner hike or for those with elementary-aged children. The hike is level with aiding boardwalks when necessary and offers plenty of scenery as it treks through second-growth stands and beautiful majestic virginia stands of hemlock. The trail ends at the rocky shore of Lake Superior, where other trails and natural attractions lay including Lake of the Clouds.
