  • South Crocker Mountain has fine views north to the Bigelow Range and east to Sugarloaf.
  • Backpackers can spend a night at Crocker Cirque Tentsite along the Appalachian Trail.
  • Those with high-clearance vehicles can reach South Crocker by driving the Caribou Valley Road to its intersection with the AT. This makes the hike 2.1 miles, rather than the 6.2 miles from Route 16/27.
