Directions: From Durango, Colorado, Take U.S. Hwy 160 west of Durango for 11 miles to County Road 124 at Hesperus. Turn right (north) here and travel through Mayday, following the La Plata River. This road becomes Forest Road 498 and the last 3 miles are four-wheel drive only.
