Blazed in orange, Benchmark Trail is 1.1-mile in length. A stone survey benchmark dated 1754 is an interesting feature along this path.

Directions: From Fredericksburg, VA, Caledon Natural Area is located in King George County between Fairview Beach and Owens. It is 20 miles east of Fredericksburg on Rt. 218. Upon entering Caledon, park by the visitor center. Begin on the south side of Fern Hollow Trail which branches on to Poplar Grove Trail which branches onto Laurel Glen which branches to Benchmark.
