This trail is a wonderful example of how nature will replenish itself once it has been stricken by mother nature.

This blue-blazed trail is 0.8-mile long and is marked by the growth of a second forest. This was once the site of a beautiful American Chestnut forest until a blight came through the area in the early 1960s and killed the trees.
