Dos Amigos Grande is the larger of a pair of rock islets off the southwest tip of Cocos Island. Its main feature is a massive 40-foot-tall rock archway, whose bottom is 110 feet beneath the ocean, creating some of the most picturesque bottom topography around the island. Divers swimming through this formation share the water with schools of snapper, jacks, and reef sharks, and coral drapes the rock walls like a Renaissance tapestry. The sun shines through the formation creating a cathedral-like vision, so don't forget the underwater camera.
