Santiago Atitlán is located on Lake Atitlán and is the capital of the Tzutujil Maya nation in Guatemala. It is known for its maintenance of traditional Maya culture. Visitors can see traditionally dressed women walking down the street, and can enjoy shopping and bargaining for local wares. It is also home to the the Cojol Ya Association Weaving Center and Museum.
