Hanohano in Hawaiian mean "glorious, distinctive, or in an elevated position," and you’ll know it with the best views of Honolulu being had on this romantic 30th-floor restaurant of the Sheraton Waikiki, accessible by a dramatic ride in a glass elevator. A long-time Waikiki favorite, live jazz wafts around the huge open room as you gaze on twinkling lights while fine dining on escargot with macadamia nuts, nicoise salad with seared Hawaiian ahi, or crispy skinned moi fish. (You’ll obviously want to book a table by the windows.) Broadway star Rocky Brown often sings his heart out here on weekend nights. It's only open for dinner, and unlike most Honolulu eateries, there's a dress code, so leave the shorts and t-shirts at the hotel.
