• Waikiki Aquarium is part of the University of Hawaii and home to 2,500 native animals. It's closed only one day a year: Christmas.
• The aquarium is located in Kapiolani Park, at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.

Built in 1904, this is the third oldest aquarium in the U.S. If you're staying in a Waikiki Hotel, you can probably walk over.
