The moderately difficult trail is located towards the northwest of the island. The trail offers users oportunities to hike, bike and four wheel drive. Please note that this trail is only suitable to four wheel drive vehicles.
General Information: Do not use any trail or access road that is not delineated by name and color and that may also be displayed on these maps. The marked features are managed for public recreational use. Other trails or roads that branch off from the public features may be on private property, and are not managed for any public recreational use. Access is subject to adjacent landowner approval, and if used without authorization, you will be trespassing and possibly putting yourself at risk. permit-DOFAW, Rd. starts at Manini Gulch
Directions: From Honolulu, Drive towards Kaena Point on Farrington Highway until you reach Yokohama. Turn right and check in with your permit at the Kaena Point Tracking Staion security guard station. This paved road turns into dirt road just past Kuaokala Trail. This is the Mokuleia Firebreak Road, and allows four-wheel or bicycle access to Peacock Flats campground, hunting areas, Kealia and Mokuleia Trails.
