Sand Cave Trail explores 1.7 miles of moderately difficult, heavily wooded terrain rewarding hikers with several scenic sights. A small waterfall and the colorful Sand Cave are highlights. Hikers explore beyond the cave, crossing a streamlet prior to reaching Old Wagon Road Trail then ascending to the Knob (east end of Wisconsin Ridge Campground). Steep sections, drop-offs and steps are encountered along the trail.

Directions: From Prairie Du Chien, WI, Travel six miles south along Hwy. 18, then turn west on County C and travel another six miles. The trail is located in the northeast area of the park beginning behind the park office.

Elevation: 950 feet
