Sentinel Ridge Trail is a half-hour easy walk that informs users about Native American history.

The Sentinel Ridge Trail offers hikers a look at ancient mound building from Native American cultures including the Hopewell and Effigy Mound Builders. Scenic Mississippi River views are enjoyed from atop 500-foot-high bluffs. The trail is level and is comprised of packed limestone. Interpretive signs give insight to human history.

Directions: From Prairie Du Chien, WI, Travel six miles south along Hwy. 18, then turn west on County C and travel another six miles. The trail is located in the western area of the park; trailhead is at the Sentinel Ridge parking lot.
