Westhaven State Park spans 79 acres of grassy field and shoreline. Fish, clam, fly a kite, or ride a horse—seven RV sites accommodate visitors who need two days to fully explore the park.

  • If you're a surfer or scuba diver camping at Grayland Beach State Park, you might want to drive to Westport for your favorite water activity.
  • The Jetty is the local name for the surfing break in the park, and this is where most of Westport's surfing action takes place. Although local surfers have a reputation for guarding their surf, there's plenty of room to spread out here.
  • Other surfing spots in the area include Half Moon Bay or The Cove (not a beginner spot) and The Groins, a.k.a. The Finger Jetties, near the entrance to Grays Harbor. For the best local info on surfing, talk to the folks at The Surf Shop or Steepwater Surf Shop, both in Westport.
