The Gorge Trail offers wonderful sights of one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Mississippi.

This lovely trail begins from the parking area along SR 89. The trail is very easy to negotiate and only 1.5 miles in length, round trip. It is actually an interpretive trail that offers views from the outset. The sheer cliffs and the 215-foot waterfall is worthy of long gazes. The relaxing misty atmosphere is broken only by other visitors commenting on the surrounding beauty. You must retrace your steps to the trailhead.

Directions: From Ithaca, NY, Travel 8 miles north along SR 89. There is parking by the South Rim
