Travel to trailhead parking found along Park Road #1 adjacent to Salt Fork Lake. Cross the road and descend a short staircase into the forest crossing two creeks. You'll reach an intersection at which point you may choose either direction given this is a loop trail. The Stone House is located along the south end of the loop at the lake. The Stone House was erected in 1837 for David B. Kennedy. It was constructed with local stone and is now registered with the Nation Register of Historic Places.
Directions: From Cambridge, OH, Travel Interstate 77 to Exit 47. Drive east on US Route 22 for approximately 6 miles to reach the main park entrance. Check with park staff for map of Stone House Loop Trail. Trailhead is found along Park Road #1.
