Punderson State Park trails explore the glaciated plateau region of Ohio. Fourteen miles of trails take the user to some of the more interesting and scenic areas of the park. Even though the park is highly developed with resort lodging and an 18-hole golf course, visitors find remote areas where wild geranium and buttercups show their spring beauty, where great horned owls scout the forest, and where anglers catch their limit of bluegill, largemouth bass, rainbow and golden trout and catfish. Winter brings almost as many visitors. The trails are open to cross-country skiers, the lake freezes for ice fishing and ice skating, and the hills provide good slope for a thrilling drop.
Directions: From Auburn Corners, OH, Travel north along Ravenna Road / SR 44 about 6-8 miles to reach the park. Park office provides trail maps.
