This pleasant day hike follows an easy route along Grider Creek and the Pacific Crest Trail. This trail has gentle ups and downs, plenty of cool - shady spots, and great blackberry picking along the way. It starts in the Grider Creek Campground near the low water crossing. Cross the creek on the log bridge and follow the Pacific Crest Trail upstream. About 1.5 miles up, there is a large log across the creek (be cautious while crossing as there are no hand rails), then follow trail downstream back to the campground.

Directions: From Seiad Valley, Travel southeast on Hwy. 96 for about one and a half miles. Turn off onto Walker Creek Rd, then immediately turn right onto Grider Creek Rd (FS 46N66) following signs to the Pacific Crest Trail. After crossing Grider Creek (about 5.5 miles), take the next left to the Grider Creek Campground.
