Five miles of trail pass through thin woodland, marshland while skirting the shoreline of Turkeyfoot Lake. Trails are easily accessible from the park office area located at 5031 Manchester Road. Each picnic area has a trail traversing the area. Plenty of parking and access to a large swimming beach invites the visitor to spend time exploring. The Planet Walk Trail is an extension of A.C.A. Observatory housed at the park. Flat terrain make the park's trail conducive for cross-country skiing during times of snow cover.
