Powell Trail explores 15 miles of old and new timber land across a course of easy terrain.

Powell Trail is an easy path that runs past Spring Pond and Sherman Lake. The trail is good for beginners. Half of the trail winds through an area that was logged years ago while the remainder explores old growth timber.

Leashed pets are welcome all year on the trail. Cross-country skiers and snowshoers will find an ungroomed route in winter.

Directions: From Mercer, WI, Travel Hwy. 51 southeast for 8 miles. Turn right on Hwy. 47 and drive to Powell Road. Turn left onto Powell Road and proceed half a mile to trailhead.
