This trail leads four miles round trip from the trailhead on Limantour Road to Limantour Beach. It provides access to Estero Trail.

Muddy Hollow Trail leads 1.8 miles from the trailhead to Limantour Beach. This route is an easy stroll through riparian woods, consisting of willow and alder, to the Limantour Estero and Limantour Beach. The route provides bird watching opportunities and beach access. Return to the trailhead via the same trail.

Directions: From Bear Valley Visitor Center, Travel north on Bear Valley Road to Limantour Road. Turn left on Limantour Road and follow signs for the Point Reyes Hostel. Instead of turning left to the hostel, turn right and follow the signs to Muddy Hollow Trailhead. The trailhead is approximately 15 minutes from Bear Valley Visitor Center.
