Boogie boarders skim the waves as whales spout offshore, and nudists and textile sunbathers soak it all up. And by all means don't miss the impromptu beach sunset drum circle and dancing on Sundays—a Maui must! Little Beach can be a bit tricky to find: At about one mile south of the Maui Prince Hotel in Wailea, turn into the first paved parking lot, take all of your valuables out of your car, and trek toward the water to behold the spectacular Big Beach. No buildings spoil the 3,000-foot stretch of yellow sand, which is everyone's favorite beach on Maui. Climb north to your right, up the trail on the rocky outcrop, and you'll spot Little Beach resting peacefully along the ocean. Gay sunbathers place their towels to the north and usually slightly outnumber the straights. Bring lots of sunscreen—the Hawaiian sun is a scorcher on your bare bits!
