A trail that weaves in and out of lake's coves offering repeated scenic views.

This trail is an easy 1.1-mile hike through a hardwood forest along the edges of Lake Anna. This trail weaves in and out of shallow coves which is conducive for observing blue heron and beaver during early morning hours and at twilight.

Directions: From Fredericksburg, VA, Lake Anna State Park is adjacent to Route 601 off Route 208, 25 miles southwest of Fredericksburg and 55 miles northwest of Richmond. From park entrance, follow signs to the Visitor Center. Trail begins behind the Center.

Elevation: 350 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 1.1 miles
