A spur trail on the west side of the road across from Fox Run Camping takes you over to Beech Woods Loop Trail. The trail travels along the western edge of the park and offers access to other park trails. If you take Grouse Trail south, you will hike to the picnic and amphitheater area and if you take Hemlock Woods Trail north you will end up at the two ponds. The trail is a little less than a mile in length and fairly easy to hike.

Directions: From Waverly, PA, Travel SR 407 for 2.8 miles to the state park. Travel past the lake and take a left onto Lake View Drive then a right onto Fairground Hill Road. There is a spur trail on the west side of the road across from Fox Run Camping. This spur trail takes you over to Beech Woods Loop Trail.

Elevation: 500 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal
