The trail begins on the southwest side of SR 407. It then crosses SR 407 and travels over into the hunting grounds. You will not see any water on this hike (other than from the parking lot) but you will travel through beautiful hardwood and pine forests. This trail makes a loop, but you will have to retrace a few steps before crossing back over SR 407 to the parking lot. At the far northeastern end of the trail, you may take a side trip onto Abington Trail to get views of Kennedy Creek which is known for its trout fishing.

Directions: From Waverly, PA, Travel SR 407 for 2.8 miles to the state park. Make your first left into the boat launch area. Take this road to the end where there is a small parking lot. The trail begins on the east side of the lot, then crosses SR 407.
