The Kincora Trail travels from between the overnight area to the day-use area.

The Kincora Trail is a popular trail named in honor of an Irish priest. The trail travels between the sanitary dump station on Tree Army Road and a parking lot near the dam.

The 1.5 mile Kooser Trail is very popular due to the heavy snowfalls of the area. It is a well marked trail and classified as the easiest.

The Laurel Highland Hiking Trail is a 70 mile backpacking trail goes from Ohiopyle to the Conemaugh River. Many hikers start their trips from Kooser State Park. For more information contact: Laurel Ridge State Park, RR 3, Box 246, Rockwood, PA 15557, telephone (724) 455-3744.

Directions: From Donegal, PA, Travel SR 31 southeast for 8 miles to the park entrance. You may reach this trail by staying on the main park road and park in the 4th small lot where trail access will be on the south side of the road, OR turn right onto Tree Army Road and park near the sanitary dump station where the trail begins across the road (south side).

Elevation: 2,600 feet
