The Woodland Dunes Nature Trail runs through a heavily wooded section of the park south of the campground. Self-guiding nature signs throughout the trail describe many of the unique trees a visitor experiences within Kohler-Andrae. Visible are pines, maples, birches, basswoods, cottonwoods, oaks, and others. The signage explains the characteristics of the "tension zone," the areas encompassing both northern and southern Wisconsin. A shorter, level, limestone trail, which makes up the first portion of the Woodland Dunes Trail, is available for the mobility-impaired visitors of the park.
Directions: From Sheboygan, WI, Travel I-43 to exit 120. Take County KK to the park entrance. Take the main park road south. Signage is good.
