The New Fane Trail is a series of four well-marked loop trails (purple, red, green and brown) and is an intriguing mix of easy to moderately challenging terrain. The loop trails roll 5.5 miles through glacial landscape rich with wild flowers, tall grasses, hardwood forests, and fragrant pine plantations. A large kettle forms a shallow pond and marsh area near the trail and is ideal for watching wildlife. A short trail connects the New Fane Trail with the Ice Age National Scenic Trail for easy access. Hikers and off-road mountain bikers share this multiple-use trail system in season. Cross-country skiing arrives with winter when this trail is closed to hikers, bikers, and pets. A table, grill, drinking water and toilet are found at the picnic area at the trailhead parking lot.

Directions: From Kewaskum, WI, Take Hwy. 28 east to Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. Turn left (north) and proceed to County Line Road. Turn right on County Line Road to reach trailhead parking.
