A peaceful walk along the minimally used lake trail.

This easy 2-mile round trip trail follows Bear Creek Lake, juts into the forest for about 100 feet then juts back to the lake's side. Since this park is not heavily used, wildlife and plant life is abundant.

Directions: From Cumberland, VA, The park is located in Cumberland County just off Rt. 60. Take Rt. 60 to Rt. 622 and then south onto Rt. 629 to the park entrance. Follow the main park road until it dead-ends at a parking lot. Lakeside Trail begins in the picnic area next to parking lot.

Elevation: 450 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Difficulty: Easy
