This interpretive trail is especially educational to the ecology student or enthusiast.

This is an easy 1.5-mile interpretative trail where you will learn about the local ecology and general natural history.

Directions: From Cumberland, VA, The park is located in Cumberland County just off Rt. 60. Take Rt. 60 to Rt. 622 and then south onto Rt. 629. Before the park contact station you will come to a Y. At the Y, take a right crossing over the dam to the parking area on the left. The trail begins on Cumberland State Forest land but soon touches State Park land. There is room for 1 car in this parking area. Lost Barr Trail begins in this parking lot.

Elevation: 450 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 1.5 miles

Difficulty: Easy
