The Horizon Rock Trail is the route of the National Scenic Ice Age Trail connecting Pothole Trail to the Ice Age Center. The trail ascends from cool, damp creekbed up along a wooded bluff to high, dry Horizon Rock where prairie plants thrive. Named for its panoramic view of the river valley, Horizon Rock has a historic stone shelter from which to enjoy the view. Continue past the shelter to reach the Ice Age Interpretive Center. The trail is an unsurfaced, uneven path with stone stairs.

Directions: From St. Croix Falls, WI, At the junction of Hwy. 35 and US 8, travel south on Hwy. 35 for half a mile. Turn right to enter the park. Trail may be accessed from the Ice Age Interpretive Center parking lot.
