Forty wooden steps ease your descent as you gaze across a lush forest floor found along Ravine Trail.

Ravine Trail connects with Skyline Trail to the beach parking area. The trail descends 260 feet in elevation from the rim of the valley through ferns and old growth forest to a stone shelter built in the 1930s. The trail is unsurfaced with uneven, steep terrain. Hikers encounter 40 wooden steps and a shelter building.

Directions: From St. Croix Falls, WI, At the junction of Hwy. 35 and US 8, travel south on Hwy. 35 for half a mile. Turn right to enter the park. Take the park road about 1.3 miles to beach parking area. Trail begins behind picnic shelter.
