The Hyde Park Circle Trail is an exciting trail with incredible vistas of surrounding mountains, such as the Sangre de Cristos, the Jemes, the Sandias, the San Pedro, and the Ortiz.

This hike travels by both, the Hyde Memorial State Park and the Black Canyon campgrounds. The Black Canyon section of the trail intersects with a trail that crosses the meadow from the fenced area behind site 41. The trail has and incline that gains 855 feet in the first 0.94 miles. However, hikers who stick it out are rewarded with spectacular views.
