Yellow Birch Trail is a popular trail with campers because it starts at the entrance to the campground and offers an easy 1 mile hike.

Yellow Birch Trail also starts at the entrance to the camping area but travels in an easterly direction for approximately 1 mile. Although short in length, this trail leads through a diversity of forest habitats from stands of hardwoods to hemlock swamps and marsh areas. A variety of wildlife and animal signs along with interesting tree development is present for the observant hiker.

Directions: From Wellsboro, Pa, Take US 6 northeast approximately 6 miles and turn left on Township Road 650. Travel a short distance and turn right on SR 4037. Travel past the park office and turn left. Travel past the day-use area straight to reach the camping loops. Yellow Birch Trail begins from the first camping loop in an easterly direction.
