This looped trail can be reached by hiking .3 of a mile from the Fireline Trailhead or .6 of a mile from the Hickory Run Trailhead. This trail is shaped like a spoon. The handle begins on Hickory Run Trail and is .7 mile. The trail splits to become a 2.7 mile loop that crosses and merges with Fireline Trail. Park of Skyline Trail diverges from Fireline Trail by the Lehigh River and continues on the edge of a steep slope that provides an excellent view of the Lehigh River and Lehigh Gorge State Park. Most of the trail is narrow and meanders through a forest dominated by beech, gray birch and pitch pine.
Directions: From White Haven, PA, Take Interstate 80 to Exit 41. Drive east on PA 534 for 6 miles to reach the park. Park either at the Fireline Trailhead or at the Hickory Run Trailhead, located on SR 534 and by the park office.
