Hi-Cannon Trail may be combined with Kinsman Ridge and Lonesome Lake Trail to create a day's circuit hike. Hi-Cannon offers several good overlooks, particularly of Lonesome Lake. The narrow path and loose rock make this trek challenging at times. This is not a trail to take in icy conditions. One point of interest and a nice resting spot is Cliff House which is a large natural rock shelter found about midway along the path.
Directions: From Lincoln or Franconia, NH, Begin on Lonesome Lake Trail which is located in the southern most parking area of Lafayette Campground which is located on I-93 about midway between the towns of Lincoln and Franconia.
Elevation: 3,850 feet
Difficulty: Moderate
