This trail and Biathlon practice area is located in the Fenton Lake State Park. It is an easy two mile loop winding along the bank of the Rio Cebolla. Thick brush can make the rail a bit tough to follow in the summer, during the winter it is groomed by park rangers. Cross-country skiers also ski on the frozen lake and unplowed roads in the area. Snowmobiles are not permitted.

Fenton Lake is set in a forest of ponderosa pine with a feeling of isolated wilderness. The lake is primarily a fishing spot, as boats are limited to hand powered craft, and swimming is prohibited. The lake is stocked with trout in the spring and fall.

Directions: From Los Alamos, Take Highway 4 west to Highway 126.
