Stuart's Knob trail is blazed in orange. It is only 0.5-mile in length but is very strenuous. It has an upper path and lower path through rocky terrain.

Directions: From Martinsville, VA, Fairy Stone is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take Rt. 58 or Rt. 8 off the Blue Ridge Parkway and head north on Rt. 57. From Martinsville, Virginia take Rt. 57 west for approximately 10-12 miles. Take Rt. 623 around to the back side of the lake where there is a parking area and trailhead.
