Parfrey's Glen Trail is a multi-use trail open to hikers, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers. The ungroomed trail extends approximately 0.8-mile over relatively flat terrain encountering several steep sections and several difficult creek crossings. Parfrey's Glen is considered one of the loveliest trail destinations in Wisconsin. The memorable route explores a narrowing gorge that continually unfolds with surprises at each turn. Amazing plant life clings to sheer walls creating a kaleidoscope of wonder throughout the glacial gorge. Segments of the trail are impenetrable on snowshoes or skis.

Directions: From Merrimac, WI, Travel Interstate 90 / 94 to the Merrimac exit. Head west on Hwy. 78 for 8 miles. Turn right (west) on County DL. Proceed 2 miles to the Parfrey's Glen parking lot.
