Interspersed with meadow and woodland, Sunset Trail offers hikers an enjoyable 4.6-mile trek. The trail begins alongside the information kiosk found at The Meadows (mile marker 19.1) on Sunrise Scenic Byway. About two miles into the trail, hikers come to an area known as "Water of Woods." Here, hikers not only discover the natural beauty of Descanso Ranger District but also are treated to sites of Native American grindings.
Directions: From Mt. Laguna, CA, Sunset Trail can be found at The Meadows, mile marker 19.9, along Sunrise Scenic Byway.
