You must hike the Ethan Pond Trail 1.6 miles in order to reach the Willey Range Trail. At this intersection, the summit is about one mile away at an elevation of 4,285 feet offering unsurpassed views of Crawford Notch. The trail continues northward leaving state land and traveling onto federal land. Approximately 1 mile north is Mt. Field, elevation 4,340 feet. The trail continues about 1 mile from this summit to terminate at the A-Z Trail which offers access to an entire network of trails with AMC huts and a nearby visitor center on US 302.
Directions: From Bartlett, NH, Travel north approximately 12 miles on US 302 to the park entrance. Go to the Willey House Station parking lot just below a set of railroad tracks. Begin on the Ethan Pond Trail and hike 1.6 miles to Willey Range Trail.
