Kedron Flume Trail begins just beyond the picnic area next to the historic site. It travels into the woods on a fairly wide path. At .4 mile it crosses the railroad tracks affording good views of Mt. Willey, 4,285 feet. At the one mile point, the trail crosses Kedron Brook with views of the flume and a small waterfall. Beyond this section the trail becomes more difficult to negotiate with steep inclines until it levels out near Ethan Pond Trail.
