This path is the road trace of the Old Doubling Gap Road which once passed through the park and into the gap. Trail blazes are red and begin along the road east of the park at its intersection with Rattlesnake Trail. The trail is gated to vehicle traffic. The path is 2.6 miles long and is considered an easy hike.

Directions: From Newville, PA, Take SR 233 for 8 miles north of Newville. Trail begins just east of the park boundary at the intersection with Rattlesnake Trail.

Elevation: 1,100 feet

Elevation Gain: 200 feet

Distance: 2.6 miles

Difficulty: Easy
