North Slope Road Trail is a 2.45 mile trail which leads to the top of Blue Mountain.

The trail begins at 2.10 miles out along Old Doubling Gap Road Trail. It swings southwest and begins to climb Blue Mountain. It intersects with Shade Trail, then Shade Trail turns west along the valley floor. It intersects with Haul Road Trail and then terminates at Cider Path Trail.

Directions: From Newville, PA, Take SR 233 for 8 miles north of Newville. North Slope Road Trail travels between Old Doubling Gap Road and ends at Cider Path Trail. You may access either trail to reach North Slope Road Trail.

Elevation: 1,600 feet

Elevation Gain: 500 feet

Distance: 2.45 miles

Difficulty: Strenuous
