Beginning and ending at Doubling Gap Lake, the trail is easy walking.

The Doubling Gap Trail is about 1 mile in length and begins and ends at Doubling Gap Lake along the south side. It is a self-guided nature trail with several interpretive waysides along its length explaining the natural history found around a mountain stream.

Directions: From Newville, PA, Take SR 233 for 8 miles north of Newville. After entering the park, take your first left to park down by the lake. The trail begins and ends on the south side of the lake.

Elevation: 850 feet

Elevation Gain: 50 feet

Distance: 1.0 miles

Difficulty: Easy
