Big Spring Trail travels between the main park office and the Phyllis Run Loop Trail.

This is an old logging trail that only .4 mile long, travels east and west between the main park office and the Phyllis Run Loop Trail. This is in the northern area of the park. There is a slight grade at each end. Large rocks with heavy spruce plantings are found along the trail.

Directions: From Brookville, PA, Take SR 36 north about 8 miles and turn right (east) onto SR 949. Take it north about 5 miles to the state park. Park in the second parking area on your right just after entering the park, There is a short spur trail leading to Big Spring Trail.

Elevation: 500 feet

Elevation Gain: Minimal

Distance: 0.4 miles

Difficulty: Easy
