The Hunter Trail marks the boundaries between the hunting and non-hunting areas of the state. The trail is very popular during the fall and winter months. It is about 1.9 miles in length and is in the north western section of the park. The trail is though a hardwood and mountain laurel forest with views of large rocks. The west end of the trail is very steep and long.

Directions: From Brookville, PA, Take SR 36 north about 8 miles and turn right (east) onto SR 949. Take it north about 5 miles to the state park. Travel the main park road bearing right at the fork. Continuing to the right, park in third lot on the right. The trail begins at the east side of this lot.

Elevation: 500 feet

Distance: 1.9 miles

Difficulty: Strenuous
