Hunters Ridge Trail is blazed in orange and can be traveled in either direction. The trail is 2.8 miles long with approximately half of its length being rugged and hilly. It is not recommended for the very young nor the elderly. It has interesting geological features including fossils. At times the trail follows the boundary between the State Park and the Allegheny National Forest and between the State Park and the State Game Lands.
Directions: From Warren, PA, Take US 6 south for about 5 miles turning right (west) onto Chapman Dam Road. Follow this road to the park. The trail begins from behind the park office at the entrance.
